Rolling M Ranch Campground
This is the Park’s main campground with 20 developed sites and a restroom and shower facility. Each site has paved parking that can accommodate two cars or recreational vehicles up to 30′ in length. There are no hook up or dump station facilities. Each site contains a picnic table and lantern post. Open fires are not allowed, but gas stoves may be used. Two sites (15 and 16) are reserved for persons with accessibility needs. Each site is limited to eight occupants and two tents. Small groups (up to 16 persons) are limited to two sites.
Larger groups must obtain group camp reservations.
Hike and Bike: This campground also serves backpackers and cyclists. There is no backcountry or trail camping permitted at this Park.
Equestrian Camping
Equestrians may camp in the southern and central portions of the Equestrian Staging Area. Currently, no designated equestrian sites exist so camping is dispersed and undeveloped. There are horse corrals, hitching posts, a mounting assistance ramp, chemical toilets, troughs, potable water, and shade canopies with plenty of pull through parking space available. A trail connects the Equestrian Staging Area with the nearby Rolling M Ranch and campground where developed restroom and shower facilities are available approximately ¼ mile away.
Group Camping
Group camp is located at the north end of the Equestrian Staging Area and is available by advanced reservation only. This area can accommodate up to two groups and dozens of campers. One shade canopy is available per group. Potable water and plenty of flat grassy area is available for tent pitching, parking, and recreational activities. Groups may also utilize the Rolling M Ranch amphitheater for ceremonies and other activities when no regular Park programs are scheduled.
Registration and Access
Visitors may register only at Reserve California (www.reservecalifornia.com) Rangers conduct campground checks during Park opening and closing hours and sporadically during the day. The main entrance is closed and locked at sunset every day. Registered campers are issued a lock combination code for after-hours access during the sunset camp check. The access code is subject to change daily up to the sunset camp check. Campers that plan on leaving the Park between camp checks and returning after hours are responsible for checking with Park staff for code changes before departure.
